Kettlewell Cruising is a blog for cruising sailors. I will talk about tools, techniques, and destinations, plus I'll throw in my personal observations on the cruising scene and whatever. Check out my Intracoastal Waterway Chartbook: Norfolk to Miami and the Intracoastal Waterway Chartbook: Miami to Mobile.
About Me
I'm a writer, editor, and photographer, specializing in articles about cruising under sail. I just returned from a two-year, 7000-mile sailing trip around the southwestern Caribbean. My "real" job title is Publications and Marketing Director of the Adirondack Mountain Club (www.adk.org). Prior to that, I was the Executive Editor of Boating Industry International, Acquisitions Editor for International Marine Publishing, Editor of Reeds Nautical Almanacs, and Chart Editor for Chart Kit. Over the years I've published dozens of articles in most of the top sailing mags, including: SAIL, Cruising World, Yachting Monthly, Sailing, and Ocean Navigator. I've owned eight different cruising boats and I've cruised between Labrador and the Caribbean for about 30 years.
